My First POST

Well I am entering the unknown.........not just the blogging world but the unknown of writing my thoughts. I have NEVER considered myself a writer however at 53 you have to step out of your comfort zone and do something NEW!  Just a word about the name of my blog........those who have kept up with us with an address book over the past 34 years have worn the page OUT erasing our address.  You see this is our 11th move. We currently reside in Maine......we are TEXANS..... and yes I said Maine. I am thankful all that has to be done these days is click the contact button and find me.   Most of the time I feel blessed and thankful that we have this opportunity but when I look at my weather app, as I did this morning and it says 1 degree but feels like -11, I have to be honest....... I go to God and ask Him what He was thinking putting me here. As a Texan I like to sweat instead of FREEZE!!  He gently reminds me that even before He gave me breath He had every day of my life planned out, it was NOT a surprise to Him at all. Soooooo I read a quote by CH Spurgeon the other day that says GRACE GROWS BEST IN WINTER.  It was as though God himself whispered in my ear...........THAT is why I placed you in Maine, because GRACE is what I need for you to GROW. We don't experience much winter in Texas...... sometimes we are not sure it even came. I might not grow much grace in the south. Winters in Maine are loooooong .......... A growing season for me!! I am blessed to know God and to know that no matter how many moves or how far I may roam, HE ALWAYS knows where I am.
